Treasure Hunts

Treasure HuntOutline:
Treasure hunts are always an effective exercise in team building as you have to delegate duties, communicate effectively, manage time wisely, and manage all the details effectively. If all of those qualities didn’t come together, your team wouldn’t find the treasure!

In X Marks the Spot, each team is given a brief overview of the situation with pertinent clues, overall objective and handy tips. Next, depending on the area where the treasure hunt takes place, each team will use various means of transportation whether by bus, taxi or on foot.

Tools of the treasure hunting trade are passed to each team and include a compass, camera, clues and a flashlight. Once you have your clues and tools in hand, your team is on their own and racing against the clock to win before the other teams finish!

On the Prowl - Your team will receive a particular itinerary with a number of tasks that will help you all gather information as well as clues to navigate your way around to the game’s conclusion. This scavenging exercise gives team members a chance to understand the area.

Photo Fun - Your team is tested with a series of photo challenges that might seem a bit over the top. You all have to be creative enough to recreate or enact certain scenes in order to fulfill these photo challenges. Whether you have to capture an impromptu acting scene in the middle of a public street or posing strangers to recreate a poster, you will have a blast! You get extra points for creativity!

Foraging Fun - Scavenger hunts have always provided a fun time, especially when the items on the list are so odd! The more obscure an item is, the higher the point value your team earns if you all find them!

Suds and Buds - Pub visits usually put a twinkle in many a team’s eyes. After all, it is a great time to hang out, hoist a beer or two and have fun with a few games. Treat this Suds and Buds event as a reward or part of the team building process for your group!

History Rewind - Padding your team building exercises with a few visits to some interesting historic places can be quite a treat! Think of all the churches, castles, park areas and museums that have history echoing within their walls.

Team Trials - Boost your team’s competitive spirit with a few challenges to get the blood pumping. These challenges are a way for you all to earn extra points during this X Marks the Spot team building activity day. Capture an opposing team on film during their scavenger hunt or photo challenges.

Get Pinned - If you want to extend your team building day, add a game or two of ten pin bowling. It’s an inexpensive way for the teams to interact and enjoy a sense of lively and friendly competition.

Ceremonial Awards - During X Marks the Spot day, individuals on each team earn their own points with various activities like the bowling, hunting clues, or triumphing during team trials. Winners and runners-up receive some awards and a treasure chest of booty.

Consider an X Marks the Spot team building day in a variety of themes from pirates to history of the ages or anything in between.
