You can choose between a half day and a full day of activities, mixing up the action and adventure along the way!
Action Packed Driving Adventures:
Pseudo-Tank Driving - The 8-wheeled argo cat vehicle handles like a tank and can be quite challenging to maneuver in. However, the awkwardness in driving is half the fun! If you ever watched an old kid’s show called the Banana Splits, you might recognize the vehicles they ride as argo cats.
Armed with only two levers for controlling your direction, an instructor will help you handle the argo cat as you get in some practice before challenging others on a specially created obstacle course. These vehicles are amazing as they can not only float on water but also handle steep climbs as well.
Getting Buggy with Hondas - These Honda Pilots tool along quite fast - at almost 60 miles per hour! You will have a safety instructor to guide you through the safety features as well as how to handle the buggy vehicle. These are quite safe with strong roll cage, independent suspension and a secure four point harness.
Suited up in a special suit and racing helmet, you and your team will take turns with practice runs around a grassy track before actually racing against the clock. Teamwork is the key during the team relay race as drivers swap turns during the laps. Leave the competition in the dust!
Hovercraft Heaven - Your need for speed and engines can be assuaged with a few runs on a hovercraft. Made for speeds of almost 100 miles per hour, your team racing efforts will run half that fast, but equally exciting!
You start off with a safety course and being outfitted in the proper protective gear before getting behind the controls of a hovercraft. Under the guidance of tutors, you will practice with the controls to get a handle on the craft’s movements. Next, your skill swill be put to the test in a timed driving trial. Of course, there is one thing you should know - hovercrafts have no brakes! Therefore, you need to handle the vehicle aggressively and surely to avoid any messes!
Quad Bikes with a Napoleon Complex - Micro quad bikes look like they are best suited for midgets or the pint-sized set. However, this driving event is aimed at regular sized folk with a need for a bit of speed. You receive safety instruction first before being outfitted in a helmet and other safety gear.
The micro quad may be small but it is mighty! You will race on a track with other team groups in practice sessions before the full out racing competition begins. Many people think it is quite a rush to speed around a track just inches from the ground!
Go-Kart Mania - These go-karts have excellent maneuverability and it feels quite wicked being so low to the ground when you can reach speeds of up to 50 miles an hour! With tight turns and excellent sliding capabilities, you will have a heck of a time tooling around a racing track.
Safety instructors will make sure you understand the safety precautions you need to take and the features of the go-kart vehicle before you start. Afterward, you can take some practice laps, getting a feeling for the go-kart before competing in timed racing trails for points.
Lean Mean Digging Machine - Have you ever heard of a JCB Digger? You may not have heard the name but you have probably seen one before. They resemble overgrown Tonka toys that have an armed digging mechanism used to pick up large debris or dig large holes in the ground. You can live a childhood dream and operate one of the big bad boys!
Your instructor has likely had a ton of experience digging graves and accomplishing other construction work with this digger machine so they will be able to give you pointers on safety and operation. You must prove your skills before being let loose on the controls.
There is a team competition where you must complete a series of challenges using the JCB Digger such as lifting objects and moving them to a new location. While it sounds easy, have you ever maneuvered an almost 2 ton vehicle while racing against the clock?
Mirror Steering - Most people can drive a car with ease but what happens when you reverse left and right? You have to train your brain to accept this mirror steering challenge and go against your driving instincts.
A specially outfitted four wheel drive vehicle awaits your group of 4, after some safety instruction of course! You get to traverse a tricky driving course with a number of twists and turns that will challenge your ability to steer left and right! If you never could figure your right from your left, you will breeze through this driving activity.
Get Buggy with It - Racing buggies are quite fun to handle on rough terrain. It’s a rush going up to 60 miles an hour, feeling the wind blast against your face. The roll cage and full suspension should keep your mind at ease about safety features and the driving instructors will educate you in the fine art of buggy maneuverability.
After safety instruction and being outfitted in proper protective gear, you can take to the track for a few practice laps before participating in team relay racing. It’s a fun way to build team spirit!
Quads - If you are fond of fast speeds and mud, you will enjoy racing a quad bike through various types of terrain. Instructors will brief you on the proper safety measures and outfit you in protective gear including helmets. Next, you will be able to take a few spins around the practice track to get a handle on how the bike moves.
Once everyone is comfortable with riding the quads, it is time to try the taxing journey through the woods, over various water hazards and climbing hills. You will have plenty of opportunities to open the throttles and appease your need for speed.
