Challenge 100

challenge 100Outline:
Each team in your group is given a package divided into three basic skill levels - easy, intermediate and hard. Each of these skill level sections has a number of interesting duties, challenges for the team, mental puzzles, building projects and even digital photography challenges. As teams complete the tasks, they earn play money but you have to be careful to maximize your time in order to earn the most money.

Goals:

  • Display issues that relate to the dynamics of team building such as organization, time management, brainstorming, problem solving and effective leadership.
  • Exhibit that teamwork is best in order to get the job done in a timely manner.
  • Form skills for effective time management as well as prioritizing work.
  • Increase negotiation skills and kick start more creative problem solving.

Each activity in this Test of Teamwork challenge is developed to encourage full team participation. You have to rely on your team mates to succeed. Can you creatively solve a life size maze or sink an amazing golf putt from a distance away? With a little team work, you can find out.

Outcome:
This Test of Teamwork exercise is designed to have more activities and challenges than time allowed. Can your team use their resources and time wisely to fit in as many challenges as possible? Did you know that each challenge can win your team a prize or money? Let’s see if you all can win!

The Finish: Rollercoaster basketball time!
No, you all will not be riding roller coasters but rather building one. Each team participating gets a blueprint for just one section of a large rollercoaster designed to allow basketballs to roll down it. The goal is to build one piece of this coaster which will then be pieced together with other pieces that other teams have constructed. Hopefully, the end result will be a structure that successfully allows a basketball to travel from one end to the other. Can everyone work together using each other’s strengths to get the job done?
